Brush Pile
The Town of Simla provides space north of the Cemetery for residents to drop off tree limbs and other seasonal pruning of trees and shrubs.
The Brush Pile is for tree branches and brush only. Any other items including burnable items such as lumber, pallets, railroad ties and wood furniture will result in CDPHE and the EPA fining the Town and with multiple violations a cancellation of our burn permit and forced closing of the brush pile.
We do have cameras at the Brush Pile and the Police Department will be issuing citations with fines up to $750.

PLEASE drive all the way back to the edge of the brush pile to drop off your yard debris.

Our local brush pile service is not a trash dump! It is for tree limbs. Do not use for
- Shingles
- Tires
- Metal
- Pallets
- Railroad Ties
- Old wood containing nails/screws/building hardware
- Trash/unwanted items/furniture
The Town of Simla provides to residents an annual Clean-Up day each year, with dumpster(s) available for residents to rid themselves of items that are not allowed in brush pile area.
- Annual Clean-Up day is announced on our website, with full list of items accepted, Items requiring a recycling fee and prohibited items.
