Reminder to our residents – the town Brush Pile service area is not a dump/landfill.
Area is only for removal of deadwood, yard debris, tree and shrub trimmings & prunings.
Currently, the area is open access to allow residents the opportunity to drop of their yard debris as needed for property cleanup; however, if prohibited items continue to be dropped off, it will be necessary to close the area and restrict drop-offs to appointed times as scheduled by Public Works Department.

Alternatives for Unwanted Items Prohibited from Brush Pile:
Residents can contact us to request a larger dumpster or pay fee for pickup of larger items. Visit our Trash Rates and Services information section for options and fees.
We also provide free dumpster(s) annually for our Clean-Up day, which is announced each year.
Simla Community Organizations & Individuals:
- Simla Family Thrift Store accepts donations of gently used and serviceable household goods
- Cross Roads Youth Works accepts donations of gently used and serviceable household goods for their annual fundraising community sale.
- Our community contains many woodworkers, metal workers, crafters, artists and creatives who up-cycle or re-purpose items for other uses.
- Many of our local businesses and organizations provide community bulletin boards to advertise items for sale/free, via a flyer or information card.
